This is a privacy notice I got from Jared today:

…We may disclose all the inormation we collect to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements.  If you reside in CA, we do not disclose your information pursuant to join marketing agreements.  If you reside in VT, we may share only your name and contact information pursuant to join marketing agreements.  Otherwise, we do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you (or about any current or former customer) to anyone except as permitted by law.

Except as permitted by law.  I’ll sleep well tonight knowing that.  It continues…

We restrict access to nonpublic, personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to prove products or services to you.  We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.

Great!  It’s guarded.  Except to companies or financial institutions which Jared has marketing agreements with or anyone else really as legally permitted.  I missed the part that says their partners also guard my privacy, but oh well.
